Education Qualification: Bihar SHS CHO Recruitment Qualification for 4500 Posts

The State Health Society (SHS), Bihar has released a notification for the recruitment of 4500 Community Health Officer (CHO) posts. The online application process commenced on 01 July 2024 and will conclude on 21 July 2024. Eligible candidates can apply through the official website shs.bihar.gov.in.

Candidates must possess a B.Sc Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc Nursing degree from a recognized university or institution. Alternatively, candidates can also apply with a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) from a recognized institute. Along with the nursing degree, candidates are required to have completed a Certificate in Community Health (CCH) course. The nursing degree and CCH course are mandatory qualifications to be eligible for the Community Health Officer posts in Bihar. Candidates who do not meet the educational criteria will not be considered for the recruitment process.

There are 4500 vacancies for the post of Community Health Officer (CHO).

The online application process starts on July 1 to 21 in 2024.

B.Sc. Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing or GNM degree along with a Certificate in Community Health (CCH) is required.

The age limit is 21 to 42 years as on June 1, 2024, with relaxation for certain categories as per rules.

The application fee is ₹500 for General/OBC/EWS/EBC and ₹250 for SC/ST/PwD/Female candidates, payable online.

The selection process includes a written exam, document verification, and medical examination.
