Age Limit: Age Criteria & Relaxation for HSSC Constable 2024 Recruitment

The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has released a notification for the recruitment of 6000 Constables in the Haryana Police Department. The online application window is available from June 29, 2024, to July 8, 2024, closing at 11:59 PM.

  • Age Requirement: Candidates must be between 18 to 25 years old as of June 1, 2024.
  • Age Relaxation:
    • A three-year relaxation beyond the upper age limit is granted to all categories as per Government U.O. No. 9/18/2024-2 Cabinet Dated: January 22, 2024.
    • Candidates eligible under advertisement no. 1/2024 but now overage can also apply.
    • Ex-servicemen must not have a break in service exceeding four years as per rule 12.24 (1) (c) of Punjab Police Rules, 1934.
    • Scheduled Castes, Backward Class, and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates receive a 5-year age relaxation.

There are a total of 6000 vacancies announced for the post of Constable, with 5000 vacancies for Male candidates and 1000 vacancies for Female candidates.

Candidates must have completed 12th Class (Intermediate) from a recognized board and should have studied Hindi or Sanskrit up to Matriculation level to be eligible for the Haryana Police Constable Recruitment 2024.
