The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has released a notification for the recruitment of 6000 Constables in the Haryana Police Department. The online application window is available from June 29, 2024, to July 8, 2024, closing at 11:59 PM.

  • Qualifying Tests: Candidates are selected based on merit from the Common Eligibility Test (CET) for the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Screening Test (PST).
  • Physical Measurement Test (PMT): Candidates must meet the physical standards outlined in Appendix-B of the Haryana Police Service Rules. Digital measurement devices ensure fairness; failure results in elimination.
  • Physical Screening Test (PST): Assesses physical fitness and endurance with standards like 2.5 km in 12 minutes for males, 1 km in 6 minutes for females, and 1 km in 5 minutes for Ex-Servicemen, using RFID or similar technology.
  • Knowledge Test: Objective type with 94.5% weightage, featuring multiple-choice questions. Candidates require a minimum of 50% (General) or 40% (Reserved categories).
  • Additional Weightage: NCC certificate holders receive marks based on level (1, 2, or 3 for A, B, or C levels respectively).

There are a total of 6000 vacancies announced for the post of Constable, with 5000 vacancies for Male candidates and 1000 vacancies for Female candidates.

Candidates must have completed 12th Class (Intermediate) from a recognized board and should have studied Hindi or Sanskrit up to Matriculation level to be eligible for the Haryana Police Constable Recruitment 2024.

The age limit is between 18 to 25 years as of June 1, 2024. There is a relaxation of 3 years in the upper age limit for all categories.
