Selection: IGCAR 91 Post 2024 Recruitment Selection Process

The Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR) has published a notification for various positions. The vacancies include Scientific Officer, Technical Officer, Scientific Assistant, Nurse, and other posts. The age limit varies from 25 to 50 years, and qualification requirements range from a high school diploma to postgraduate degrees.   • Preliminary Test (Stage 1):
    • Screening examination (CBT) with 50 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) covering Mathematics, Science, and General Awareness
    • Duration: 1 hour
    • Marks: 3 marks for correct answer, 1 mark deducted for incorrect answer
    • Cut-off: <40% for General Category, lower for reserved categories
  • Advanced Test (Stage 2):
    • 50 MCQs with questions specific to the respective trade
    • Duration: 2 hours
    • Marks: 3 marks for correct answer, 1 mark deducted for incorrect answer
    • Cut-off: <30% for General Category, lower for reserved categories
    • Merit List preparation based on Stage-2 scores
  • Trade/Skills Test (Stage 3):
    • Shortlisted candidates undergo Trade/Skills Test
    • Number of candidates shortlisted depends on vacancies but doesn't exceed 4-5 times the number of vacancies in each trade
    • Conducted on a “Go/No-Go” basis
    • Empanelment based on merit
