Selection: India Post GDS Recruitment Selection Process 2024
The Department of Posts (DoP) has announced the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) recruitment notification for 2024, featuring more than 44,228 vacancies across different states in India. Applicants can apply via the IndiaPost GDS Online portal, meeting eligibility criteria of age (18-40) and a minimum Class 10th qualification.
- Merit List Generation: The merit list will be generated by the system based on the marks obtained in the 10th standard examination. The marks will be aggregated to a percentage with accuracy to 4 decimals.
- Marks Calculation: For applicants with marks mentioned in their mark sheets, total marks will be calculated, ensuring candidates with higher marks are prioritized. For applicants with only grades, marks will be calculated for each subject using a multiplication factor of 9.5 based on the grade.
- CGPA Calculation: In cases of Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA), marks will be derived by multiplying CGPA by 9.5.
- Tie-Breaking Criteria: In case of a tie, priority will be given based on age, followed by specific categories. The department may introduce additional criteria if needed.
- Document Verification: During verification, any mismatch between uploaded portal data and original documents, even if minor, may result in rejection.
- Undertaking Submission: Shortlisted candidates must submit an undertaking regarding the accuracy of information provided in the application, with consequences for furnishing fake or incorrect details.
