Selection: Indian Air Force Agniveer Vayu Recruitment 2024 Selection Process for Intake (02/2025)

The Indian Air Force has announced the Agniveer Vayu Recruitment 2024 for Intake 02/2025, with applications open from July 8 to July 28, 2024. Eligible candidates aged 17.5 to 21 years, having passed 12th with 50% in English, can apply. The selection process includes a written exam, physical fitness test, group discussion, and medical exam. Successful candidates will serve for 4 years with a starting salary of Rs. 30,000 and a "Seva Nidhi" package of Rs. 11.71 lakh on completion of the term.

  • Online Application: Candidates must apply online on the official website agnipathvayu.cdac.in from July 8 to July 28, 2024. They need to fill in the application form, upload documents, and pay the application fee of Rs. 550/- plus GST.
  • Written Exam: Eligible candidates will appear for a written exam on October 18, 2024 onwards. The exam will test their knowledge in subjects like English, Physics, Mathematics, and General Awareness.
  • Physical Fitness Test (PFT): Candidates who clear the written exam will undergo a Physical Fitness Test which includes a 1.6 km run, 10 push-ups, and 10 sit-ups.
  • Adaptability Test-I: This is a group task to assess the candidate's adaptability.
  • Interview/CPSS: Candidates will face an interview and a Computerized Pilot Selection System (CPSS) test to assess their suitability for the Air Force.
  • Document Verification: All original documents will be verified to confirm the candidate's eligibility.
  • Medical Examination: Candidates will undergo a thorough medical examination to check their physical and mental fitness as per IAF standards.
  • Merit List: A final merit list will be prepared based on the candidate's performance in all stages. Selected candidates will be enrolled as Agniveers in the Indian Air Force.

The minimum age is 17.5 years and the maximum age is 21 years as on the last date of online application.

Candidates must have passed 12th (Intermediate/10+2) or equivalent exam from a recognized Board with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. Physics and Maths are also required for Science subjects.

The application fee is Rs. 550/- plus GST.

On completion of the 4-year term, the Agniveer will receive a "Seva Nidhi" package of approximately Rs. 10.04 lakh (excluding interest).

The PFT includes a 1.6 km run, 10 push-ups, and 10 sit-ups.

The syllabus includes English, Physics, Maths, and General Awareness.
