Selection: Selection Process for Indian Navy Agniveer MR (Musician) Recruitment 2024

The Indian Navy has invited online applications for enrolment as Agniveer {MR(Musician)} - 02/2024 (Nov 24) batch. The recruitment is open for unmarried male and female candidates who meet the eligibility criteria laid down by the Government of India.

  • Shortlisting:
    • Candidates will be shortlisted based on marks obtained in the matriculation examination.
    • Candidates holding valid music certificates will be shortlisted for the next stage.
  • Stage I – Preliminary Screening:
    • Shortlisted candidates will be called to appear in the Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Music Screening Test, and Recruitment Medical Examination.
  • Stage II – Final Screening:
    • After qualifying for the first stage, candidates will undergo final screening at INS Kunjali, Mumbai.
  • Merit List:
    • After conducting stage I and stage II, the board of the examination authority will prepare a merit list based on performance in the final screening.
  • Final Medical Examination:
    • The last round of the selection process will be conducted at INS Chilka, Odisha, to check the candidate's fitness for the MR positions.

The salary for Navy MR (Musician) is Rs. 30,000/- per month.

Yes, candidates should have proficiency and aptitude for music with accuracy in tempo, pitch and singing. They should also have practical skill on any instrument with proficiency in tuning, matching notes, prepared piece, sight reading, performance of Scale/Raaga/Taala and basic music theory.
