Selection: RBI Assistant 2024: Detailed Selection Process
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is expected to release the notification for the post of Assistant in August or September 2024. The anticipated vacancy for the Assistant position is around 500 positions, which will be distributed across different RBI regional offices based on categories like SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and General.
- Preliminary Examination (Prelims): 3 sections - Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability, and English Language. Total marks: 100, Negative marking: 0.25 per wrong answer, Duration: 60 minutes.
- Main Examination (Mains): 5 sections - Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, Computer Knowledge, and General Awareness. Total marks: 200, Negative marking: 0.25 per wrong answer, Duration: 135 minutes.
- Language Proficiency Test (LPT): Candidates provisionally selected from Mains will have to undergo an LPT in the official/local language of the state/UT they are applying for.
