Selection: RRC NCR Gorakhpur 1104 Apprenticeship Selection Process 2024

The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) of North Eastern Railway (NER) in Gorakhpur has announced the recruitment of 1104 apprentices across various divisions. The recruitment is open for candidates aged 15 to 24 years who have completed 10th standard with an ITI certificate in the relevant field. Interested applicants can apply online on the official RRC NER website from June 12 to July 11, 2024.

  • The selection process for apprentices under the Apprentice Act, 1961, involves the following steps:
  • A merit list is prepared based on the average of the percentage of marks obtained in Matriculation and ITI examinations, giving equal weightage to both.
  • Candidates can opt for multiple units, and if their first choice is not possible, they will be allotted subsequent choices.
  • Provisionally selected candidates are called for document verification, where they must bring original certificates and testimonials.
  • Successful candidates are allotted to a division/unit and their training begins.

There are 1104 vacancies for the post of Apprentice in various trades across various departments of North Eastern Railway.

The vacancies are available for various trades such as Fitter, Welder, Electrician, Carpenter, Painter, Machinist, Turner, and others.

The candidate must have completed High School/10th with at least 50% marks and possess an ITI certificate in the specified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT.
