Selection: SBI PO Recruitment selection Process 2024
The State Bank of India (SBI) is expected to release the SBI PO 2024 Notification in August 2024. The SBI PO Exam 2024 will consist of three phases: Prelims, Mains, and GD/Interview. The selection process will be based on merit.
Phase I: SBI PO Prelims
Objective Test: The Prelims exam consists of three sections: English Language, Reasoning Ability, and Quantitative Aptitude. The test is online and has no sectional cut-off, but there is an overall cut-off set by the bank based on the category of the candidates.
Shortlisting: Candidates numbering 10 times the number of vacancies (approx.) in each category will be shortlisted for the Main Examination from the top of the above merit list.
Phase II: SBI PO Mains
Objective Test: The Mains exam consists of four sections: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and Computers, and General/Economy/Banking Awareness. The test is objective in nature and has no sectional cut-off.
Descriptive Test: The descriptive test is of 50 marks and is conducted immediately after the objective test. It is a written test that assesses the candidate’s writing skills.
Shortlisting: Candidates numbering up to three times the number of vacancies in each category will be shortlisted for the Psychometric Test, Interview & Group Exercise from the top of the category-wise merit list.
Phase III: Psychometric Test, Interview & Group Exercise
Psychometric Test: The Psychometric Test is a group discussion and interview round. It assesses the candidate’s communication skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
Final Selection: Candidates who clear all three phases will be selected as Probationary Officers in SBI.
