Education Qualification: SEBI recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria

SEBI invites applications for 97 Grade A Officer positions across various streams: General, Legal, IT, Engineering (Electrical), Research, and Official Language. Apply now!

  1. Educational Qualification:
    • General Stream: Candidates must hold a Master’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma (minimum two years’ duration) in any discipline, Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or equivalent qualification recognized by a reputed University/Institute. Alternatively, candidates with professional qualifications such as Chartered Accountant, Chartered Financial Analyst, Company Secretary, or Cost Accountant are also eligible.
    • Legal Stream: Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University/Institute.
    • Information Technology Stream: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in any branch or a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a post-graduate qualification (minimum two years’ duration) in computer science/computer application/information technology from a recognized University/Institute.
    • Engineering (Electrical) Stream: A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute is mandatory.
    • Research Stream: Aspirants should hold a Master’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma (minimum two years’ duration) in Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, Econometrics, or related fields. Additionally, various other qualifications including Finance, Statistics, and Mathematics are also accepted.
    • Official Language Stream: Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in Hindi/Hindi Translation with English as a subject at the Bachelor’s Degree level, or in Sanskrit, English, Economics, or Commerce with Hindi as a subject at the Bachelor’s Degree level. Alternatively, a Master's Degree in both English and Hindi/Hindi Translation is also acceptable.
  2. Age Limit:
    • Candidates must not exceed 30 years of age as on March 31, 2024. Relaxations in the upper age limit will be provided as per the applicable rules and regulations.
  3. Other Requirements:
    • Candidates awaiting final examination results are eligible to apply, provided they can produce necessary documents confirming the requisite qualifications upon selection.
    • Indian citizenship is mandatory for all applicants.

The basic pay starts at ₹44,500 and goes up to ₹89,150 over 17 years. Gross salary is approximately ₹1,55,000 per month.
