Syllabus: Syllabus Update SSC CHSL Recruitment 2024

Staff Selection Commission released the detailed SSC CHSL Notification 2024 and application form on 8th April 2024 for 3712 vacant posts for LDC, JSA and DEO.

The SSC CHSL (Staff Selection Commission Combined Higher Secondary Level) exam is a highly competitive recruitment examination conducted by the Staff Selection Commission to fill various positions in government offices. The SSC CHSL 2024 exam consists of three tiers - Tier 1, Tier 2, and Skill Test/Typing Test. Here is a detailed overview of the SSC CHSL 2024 syllabus for Tier 1 and Tier 2 exams:

SSC CHSL Tier 1 Syllabus 2024

The Tier 1 exam is a computer-based test that includes four main subjects:

1. General Intelligence & Reasoning

  • This section tests the candidate's logical and analytical reasoning skills.
  • Topics include analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, etc.

2. General Awareness

  • This section evaluates the candidate's knowledge of current events and general awareness.
  • Topics cover history, culture, geography, economic scene, general policy, scientific research, etc.

3. Quantitative Aptitude

  • This section assesses the candidate's ability to solve mathematical problems.
  • Topics include number systems, fundamental arithmetical operations, algebra, geometry, mensuration, trigonometry, statistical charts, etc.

4. English Language

  • This section tests the candidate's proficiency in the English language.
  • Topics include comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms, etc.

Each section consists of 25 questions, with a total of 100 questions. Each question carries 2 marks, and there is a negative marking of 0.5 marks for each incorrect answer. The total duration of the exam is 60 minutes.

SSC CHSL Tier 2 Syllabus 2024

The Tier 2 exam includes three sections with different modules:

Section 1:

  • Module 1: Mathematical Abilities
  • Module 2: Reasoning and General Intelligence

Section 2:

  • Module 1: English Language and Comprehension
  • Module 2: General Awareness

Section 3:

  • Module 1: Computer Knowledge

The questions are objective-type multiple-choice questions, except for Module 2 of Section 3. There is negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect answer in Section 1, Section 2, and Module 1 of Section 3.The SSC CHSL Tier 1 exam is scheduled to be held from July 1 to July 12, 2024. Candidates are advised to thoroughly prepare according to the revised syllabus and exam pattern to enhance their chances of success in the SSC CHSL 2024 examination.
