Syllabus: Syllabus for UPSC Civil Services Examination 2024

The UPSC Civil Services Examination 2024 notification was released on February 14, 2024, and the application process began on the same day. The exam consists of three stages: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Personality Test. The Preliminary Examination is scheduled for June 16, 2024, and the Main Examination will take place from September 20, 2024, onward.

The UPSC 2024 syllabus includes two papers for the Prelims exam: Paper 1 on General Studies and Paper 2 on CSAT. The General Studies paper covers various topics such as Indian History, Geography, Current Affairs, Economy, Science and Technology, Environment and Ecology, and General Knowledge. The CSAT paper tests candidates' comprehension, logical reasoning, analytical ability, interpersonal skills, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. The Mains exam consists of seven papers: Essay, General Studies, and two optional subjects. The Personality Test is the final stage of the exam, where candidates are assessed on their personality, communication skills, and leadership qualities.

The UPSC Civil Services Examination is a competitive examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for recruitment to various posts and services under the Central Government, including the Indian Administrative Services (IAS).
